Playas del Coco, located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica, is a vibrant and bustling beach town that has become increasingly popular with tourists in recent years. This picturesque destination offers visitors a perfect combination of stunning natural beauty, lively nightlife, and a range of outdoor activities, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a fun and adventurous vacation.

Playas del Coco is known for its fun beaches, great nightlife, and fantastic sunsets, making it a haven for tourists. It is also an excellent place to enjoy water sports such as swimming, diving, kayaking, and fishing. In addition to its beautiful beaches, Playas del Coco offers a wide range of dining options, from local eateries serving traditional Costa Rican cuisine to international restaurants offering a variety of international dishes. The town also boasts a lively nightlife scene with plenty of bars and clubs to choose from.

For those looking to explore the natural wonders of the region, Playas del Coco is conveniently located near a number of stunning national parks, including the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, and the Santa Rosa National Park among a long list of many incredible beaches including playa hermosa, playa ocotal, playa prieta, playa penca, and playa danta.

Local’s tip:
If you want to explore the Peninsula de Papagayo and its many untouched and pristine beaches Playas del Coco is the perfect base! You can easily rent a boat ride or pay for a tour from Playas del Coco to the many secluded islands and beaches in the peninsula. The beaches in the peninsula are often empty since they are very difficult to reach, but definitely worth it. I would even dare to say they are probably some of the most beautiful beaches in Guanacaste!
