How to get there:
Since Playa Flamingo is a very popular destination in the northern Guanacaste province there are many transportation options to get to the town. If you’r coming from San Jose you can take a flight to Tamarindo and drive or take a taxi from there. Another, cheaper, option is to take the bus from San Jose to Flamingo.
Bus options from San Jose:
The bus departs from the Tralapa station in San Jose. Tel: 2258-1261. There are three departing times and the journey takes about 6 hours. The cost is $11 USD.
Departure time options from San Jose: 8am, 10:30am and 3pm
Return time options from Playa Flamingo: 2:45am, 8:30am and 3pm
From Liberia:
Go to the Liberia Terminal de buses. The buses are from Transportes La Pampa. Tel.: 2665-7530. The journey takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Departure time options from Liberia: 4:30am, 6am, 8am, 11am, 6pm
Return time options from Playa Flamingo: 5am, 12:30pm, 4pm
